WHY IS IT THE COUNCIL ARE SO AFRAID OF PEDLARS WHEN IT IS A PEDLAR WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO BE A PUBLIC GOOD RATHER THAN A CITY OFFICIAL WHO CAN BRING ON A RIOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY AS OCCURRED WITH THE RANGERS FIASCO?
MANCHESTER COUNCIL MUST BE PLEASED IT HAS SPENT SO MUCH MONEY ON GETTING A COMPLICATED LAW THROUGH PARLIAMENT IN TIME TO PERSECUTE PEDLARS OVER THE BANK HOLIDAY –  BUT LOOK WHAT HAPPENED IN NEW YORK CITY:

A RANDOM WALK ABOUT T-SHIRT SALESPERSON KNOWN IN UK AS “A PEDLAR” NOTICED SMOKE ISSUING FROM A SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLE PARKED WITH ITS HAZARDS FLASHING IN TIMES SQUARE N.Y. CITY NEW YORK USA

IT WAS THIS ALERT THAT SAVED CENTRAL MANHATTEN FROM GETTING DEVASTATED .. & SO WHY DOES MANCHESTER COUNCIL VIEW PEDLARS AS A PROBLEM BECAUSE IT WASN’T THE LOCAL AUTHORITY LICENSING OFFICER ON A SUNDAY “DAY OFF” THAT PREVENTED DEVASTATION BUT A PEDLAR ..?

PLEASE NOTE THIS AS FACT DEAR M.E.N.  & DEAR PEOPLE – REMIND THE POLITICIANS THAT THEY OFTEN DO GET IT SO WRONG

That’s why pedlars have been given the privilege of their own protective statute of the Pedlars Act which is for the public good and a benefit to everyone.
Pedlars are no threat – they are part and parcel of the community they live and work in, and it is because the public like them that they carry on doing so much good.”
